Details:
The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park on the right. I had a USMC hat that I bought at the Pentagon gift store; I lost it here, when the wind blew it into the water between two ships that had carried marines into action.
In the late 1800s Buffalo was a wealthy shipping and manufacturing city because of its position at one end of the Erie Canal and the convergence of several other waterways.
