Travelling through the canal and lake.
There are channel markers in the water, a dredging machine on the left.
Where the canal is twisty, on the hills ahead, there lots of white rectangles with black lines. They are navigation markers. You know you are going the right way if the vertical lines on two signs are aligned. Note that one set of markers is aligned; that’s where we are headed.
I took all my Panama Canal pictures from the deck of the Disney Wonder as we cruised from the south (Pacific) end of the canal to the north (Atlantic) end. We were told to expect rain. It rains a couple of inches every week in Panama. But our passage was unusual: it started overcast, then became cloudy, but no rain.
