Details:
From Brimstone Hill is a fort built on top of an old volcano and the highest point in the area. It was alternately used by British and French armies, and is now a UNESCO world heritage site. The fort itself is huge – abut three acres – the grounds around it another 20 or so.
It has astonishing numbers of period cannons, including those in the parking lot in the picture.
